Summary 10 militants and a soldier were killed in fresh clashes in Upper Orakzai agency Thursday.
The clashes took place in two districts of Upper Orakzai tribal agency when militants attacked a security forces checkpost. According to security officials, there was an exchange of fire between the two side.The clashes killed ten militants and wounded several others, said officials, adding that a soldier was also killed and five others sustained injuries.The military gunship helicopters targeted suspected militant hideouts and destroyed five of them.There were also reports of forces conducting operation against militants in Lower Orakzai tribal agency. However, no exact figures of casualties were available.
