Sindh High court has served notices to the secretary home and superintendent Malir jail in connection with an application filed against the dentention of Muhajir quami movement chairperson Afaq Ahmed.The application filed against the detention states that Afaq Ahmed had been cleared by the courts on all accounts and that the home secretary in the eleventh hour sabotaged his release by claiming that his release would result in disturbance of peace within the city. The application further states that Afaq Ahmed’s detention is in violation of article 10 15 and 17 of the Constitution.The applicant pleaded that the higher court should pronounce the detention as illegal order the release of Afaq Ahmed. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for next week
