Summary ISI DG General Pasha has warned that aggression against Pakistan would meet a befitting response.
Briefing the political leadership in All Parties Conference, General Pasha said Haqqani network was not operating in Pakistan neither is Pakistan exporting any terror as alleged by US officials.He revealed Haqqani group has a total control over 4 Afghan provinces while in the 3 provinces it exercises considerable influence.The ISI DG reiterated Pakistan is in favour of friendly ties with all countries, but any aggression would meet a befitting response. He said Pakistani security apparatus was cheated on the Abbottabad raid. He said now any helicoprters entering Pakistani territory would be visible. Pakistan would not take dictation for any operation, he added.Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani told the gathering of the countrys political leaders on Thursday that the United States must stop blaming.Islamabad for regional instability, as Washington stepped up pressure on Islamabad to crack down on militancy.The blame game should end, and Pakistans sensitive national interests should be respected, he said in comments carried live on local television stations.Pakistan military officials, who set security and foreign policy, were expected to brief the meeting on a crisis in relations with the United States.Meanwhile, political and military leadership including Chief of army Staff reached Prime Minister’s house to watch the All Parties Conference.General Khalid Shamim Wyne , according to report, is also attending the All Parties Conference. The claims have triggered fears here that America may launch military action in Pakistan.Intelligence chief Lt. Gen.
