'Doctrine of necessity' faced ignominious defeat today, says Ali Zaidi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Giving his reaction after the verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan calling the electoral body’s decision to hold elections “unconstitutional”, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh Chapter President Ali Zaidi said on Tuesday the doctrine of necessity faced historic defeat today.

Taking to Twitter, he said the apex court’s decision was a victory of the constitution and ensured rule of law.

He added the decision gave victory to the people of Pakistan.
