Summary A plea has been filed in the apex court for bring back Pakistans wealth from abroad.
Former information minister Mohammed Ali Durrani has filed the plea in the Supreme Court for bringing back Pakistan’s plundered wealth from abroad.Pakistan’s ambassadors to various countries, UN secretary general and Election Commission of Pakistan have been made respondent in the plea.It may be pertinent to mention that according to the World Bank, there are $200 billion staked in Swiss banks alone of Pakistanis.Quite recently a law has also been made enabling different countries to approach Swiss government to get the details about the accounts of their citizens.In the case of ill-gotten money, the Swiss government is bound to reimburse the money to the country of origin.
