Summary Another 2 people died of dengue on Monday, taking death toll to 42 in Lahore.

21-year-old Ali Raza, resident of Jhang, died at Jinnah hospital, while Inayat, resident of Narowal, passed away at Mayo Hospital.The number of dengue patients has reached nearly 7,000 in Punjab, with over 6,000 patients in Lahore alone.Rapid rise of dengue patients in Lahore has created panic among public.173 dengue cases have been reported in Lahore in the last 24 hours, while 53 in Rawalpindi and six in Islamabad. There are 6666 cases of dengue in Punjabm while out of them an alarming number of 6126 patients are in Lahore.The Punjab government has directed all state hospitals to conduct free CBC tests of dengue patients, under section 144. All private laboratories have been directed to charge, a standard 90 rupees fee for the CBC test.
