Summary Closure of educational institutions for ten days due to dengue has been challenged in court.
Advovate Ishtiaque Ahmed Chaudhry filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court, challenging the provincial government’s decision to close all educational institutions for ten days. The petitioner stated that had the government taken proper, timely steps to curb the epidemic, the province would not have faced the worst.He said that many precious lives had been lost to dengue, and now the government had closed the institutions to conceal its failure. He requested the court to order reopening of the institutions at the earliest.
