Summary Rana Sanaullah said shifting the Punjab Governor to a small office was under consideration.
Talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that one-kenal office can be allotted to the Punjab Governor according in GOR.He said that the big houses including Commissioner, DCO and governor’s offices and offices should be shifted to smaller places.Sana said that legislation is not needed to end the governor’s quota in the housing schemes as the reduction in quota will be in force with the amendment of rules. The governor should read the rules again about his authority, Rana said.He said that after passage of the 18th Amendment, the Governor does not enjoy authority of appointing Vice Chancellors of the universities.Responding to a question, the minister said that the efforts were on for the recovery of Shahbaz Taseer, however no information can be shared about the progress of the process.Rana Sanaullah said that the government is trying its best and adopting to cope with the dengue epidemic.He said that the demands for the resignation of the chief minister were made to divert the attention from the corruption of the federal government.
