Summary Sindh Senior Minister Pir Mazharul Haq has refused to comment on meeting with Altaf Hussain.

Former Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Mirza had said him and Pir Mazharul Haq attended the meeting in which MQM chief Altaf Hussain talked about plans to break Pakistan.Appearing beside Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad at the Quaid’s mausoleum in connection with his death anniversary, Pir Mazharul Haq said the meeting with Altaf Hussain was a courtesy call, therefore he would choose not to comment on it.Alluding to Mirza swearing while holding the holy Quran, Pir Mazharul Haq however said that only those people do so in Sindh who doubt people would trust them. He said certain powers, internal or external, are out to destabalize Pakistan. Asked if he was calling Mirza a liar, he replied in the negative, saying you (media) may interpret it so, but I am not calling him so. Please, dont try to put your words in my mouth.It is, he said, need of the hour to close ranks to foil such conspiracies. He said if there is peace in Karachi, investment would start pouring in the country. He said many international companies, including Saudi and Chinese, are interested in investing in Pakistan, provided there is peace.He said the 1973 Constitution has been fully restored and provincial autonomy should be used for the welfare of the people.
