Summary The number of polio cases in the country has reached 84 as three new cases have been registered.

According to the National Institute of Health, three new polio cases, one from Sindh and two from FATA have been registered.The number of nationwide polio cases in 2011 has reached 84. Balochistan leads the country with 34 polio cases, followed by the Federally Administered Tribal Areas with 26, Sindh with 15 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 7. One case each from Punjab and Gilgit Baltistan has been reported.On the other hand, federal government has announced a 3-day long anti-polio campaign from September 19.
