Thousands of flood-victims seek refuge, food in vain

Hundreds of houses demolished in Dadu. In Badin the flood waters have cut of the communication with the rural areas. About 500 villages of the coastal belt have also no communication with other areas. From LBOD nullah, seven corpses including that of a minor girl were recovered. In Dadu, extensive damage of homes has been reported owing to the constant rains.Meanwhile, 20 people have reportedly been killed and 38 injured in the district in different areas. Most of the people are living under open skies without any help from anywhere. The death creeps as dearth of edibles is also hitting the helpless flood victims. In areas of Kherpur and Nara, heavy rains have wrecked havoc with the population.According to Kherpur DCO, 1.1 million people have been affected by rains and flood. Mirpur Khas has come under 4 feet of water. Thousands of displaced people are heading to Tharparker.In Dherki, influentials fired upon the relief camp set up by a private gas company.
