Summary The Parliamentary Committee for Judges Appointment accorded approval to regularise 4 SHC judges.
A meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for the Appointment of Judges was held under the chairmanship of Committee Chairman Senator Nayyar Hussain Bokhari in parliament house to review the recommendations sent by Judicial Commission (JC).Chief Justice of Pakistan and JC Chairman Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had recommended regularisation of 6 Sindh High Court additional judges. The judges were: Justice Shahid Anwar, Justice Ghulam Sarwar Porai, Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh, Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi and Justice Muneeb Akhtar.Talking to the media after the meeting, Bokhari said that the committee had accorded the permission of regularisation of Justice Shahid Anwar, Justice Ahmad Ali Sheikh, Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi and Justice Muneeb Akhtar while denying it to Justice Ghulam Sarwar Porai and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan.
