Summary MQM-P decides in advance not to accept result of Karachi’s local elections
KARACHI ( Dunya News ) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said on Sunday the delimitations for the local elections were unfair and MQM-P would not accept the election result.
The delegation of MQM-P reached the residence of Farooq Sattar to invite him for registering protest against limitations under the leadership of the MQM-P convener.
Talking to media, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said it seemed there was national consensus at the national level to divide the Mohajirs and for that purpose, delimitations was unjust, while mentioning the MQM-P would not accept the result of elections based on this setup.
Farooq Sattar added if Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari was not fulfilling his promises then that would not be a positive message for Sindh because the people of Karachi had been deprived from basic political rights.
He claimed that it had already been decided to whom the mayorships of Karachi and Hyderabad would be given while threatening that the party would not be able to stop its workers if matters became worse.
Mr Farooq added efforts were being made to create schism within the party and MQM-P needed to maintain unity given critical time.
