Ahsan Iqbal urges politicians to make joint efforts for country's betterment

ISLAMBAD ( Dunya News) – Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Wednesday all stakeholders needed to cooperate with each other to steer the country out of crisis. 

The federal minister, while distributing prizes among the employees of the ministry, said there was a dire need to conserve energy through an energy-saving policy and cut off profligate spending habits. He added that the previous government refused to release funds due to which not only various projects remained standstill but their cost also increased.

While praising the employees who received awards, the minister said those who worked hard should be encouraged. He said the debt-ridden economy was left behind by the previous government and there were no funds for the development budget. Giving his suggestion, he said all (politicians) needed to work hard for making Pakistan prosperous and given its god-given capabilities, the Pakistani nation could turn around the country in two years provided efforts were made in the right direction. 

Talking about the possible default of Pakistan’s economy, he said even the enemies were not talking about this situation, however some people of the country were spreading rumours.
