Summary Traffic jam was the order of the day in Karachi as rain inundated most city roads on Tuesday.
Water submerged roads and streets in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e- Johar, Malir, Baldia Town, Nursery, Sher Shah, North Karachi and other areas.Motorists were stuck in the logjam that started during the day and continued into the night.The roads which saw severe traffic jam Shara-e-Faisal, Hassan Square, Korangi Road, University Road and I.I. Chundrigar Road. Such prolonged is the jam amid miles-long queued-up traffic that many stuck motorists have run out of fuel, with nothing being done on the part of the authorities concerned to improve the situation. There was severe paucity of traffic cops to control the traffic.On the other hand, the weather turned pleasant with showers. More rain is expected during next three days in Karachi like elsewhere. Areas which received heavy rain include Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e- Johar, Malir, Baldia Town, Nursery, Sher Shah and North Karachi.
