Summary First bio-gas plant of 15 cubic was launched in Gujranwala to get rid of load shedding.
It was prepared with the cooperation of the district government and would be able to meet requirements of four houses.As per details, the first bio-gas plant prepared at the cost of Rs 100,000 at Mufti Najmuddin’s dairy farm with the cooperation of the local government was inaugurated by Gujranwala DCO Barrister Nabeel Ahmad. Other socio-political personalities were also present there.15 cubic gas prepared with the dung of buffalos is enough to meet the needs of four houses. The DCO said that local government has started a huge project to cope with shortage of power, adding that more than 500 plants would be set up in the city.EDO Agriculture Dr Shah Muhammad Alvi said that dung used for bio-gas was useful for crops.
