Summary Chief Justice has directed the IG Sindh to launch an indiscriminate action in Karachi.
During the hearing in Karachi suo moto case, the apex court directed the IG to provide a complete chart indicating from where any accused was held and where did he kill someone. In the absence of such a chart, the culprits could not be punished, the court observed. The CJP also observed that some areas were also being ignored during the action. Honest officers should be brought back to launch indiscriminate action, said the court assuring that the superior judiciary stands behind the law enforcement agencies. The case will be completed within 8 to 10 days, said the CJP. He also directed to present the DVDs of torture cells. The court also accepted to make PML-N and Baloch Itehad the party in the case. Iftikhar Gilani and Mujeeb Pirzada have completed their arguments and Asma Jehangir and Mohammad Aqil would give their arguments tomorrow.
