Summary Possible dissolution of Punjab Assembly challenged in LHC
LAHORE ( Dunya News ) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday fixed a plea for hearing against the expected Punjab Assembly dissolution.
The petition was filed by Namdar Ali in which he nominated Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairperson Imran Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as parties. He stated in his plea : “On Dec 18, Parvez Elahi said his government would complete its tenure and action to disband assembly on Imran khan’s order is illegal.” Only Imran Khan would be the beneficiary of this possible act of CM Elahi, the statement added.
