Summary LHC seeks explanation on alleged graft worth Rs 35 billion in Pakistan Railways.
On a petition filed in Lahore High Court on corruption in Pakistan Railways, the court sought answer from the centre and chairman Pakistan Railways.Justice Umar Ata Bundial conducted the proceedings during which the attorney Rana Ilam Din Ghazi pleaded that ex-ministers and officials of Railways embezzled Rs 35 billion which resulted in the downfall of the department.The court admitted the plea for regular hearing and issued the notices to federal government and chairman Railways and directed them to submit the answer within two weeks.
