Summary NDMA Chairman Dr Zafer Iqbal said 37 villages were inundated by floods, affecting 2 million people.

Apart from this, 44 people were also killed in this natural calamity. Major loss occurred due to breach in dykes of canals and nullahs, he said.While taking to the media in Islamabad, National Disaster Management Authority Chairman said that current ratio of rains was less by 10% as compared to forecast by the Metrological Department but ratio of Sindh is more than the forecast.The most affected district is Badin where 3,27,000 house collapsed while million of acre crops were damaged.Chairman said that major loss caused due to delay in reconstruction of dykes damaged during previous floods.He added his department has dispatched more and more luggage to the flood-affected areas, adding that the NDMA was ready to cope with any situation in emergency.
