Summary PM Gilani has rejected Sharif Sharifs allegation on shelving of power plants.
Shahbaz Sharif had said yesterday that the Federal Law Ministry was delaying two 800MW power projects (Nandi Pur and Chichuki Malian) because it had not been paid bribe.Countering the allegation at the news conference that he addressed in Lahore, PM Gilani said he himself took the projects to the cabinet, which accorded approval. He said all must understand people these days are scared of media. “They make certain statements out of fear of the media. People say something to the media and say quite the contrary behind the scene as you know they don’t want to take the blame for things they themselves do.” Passing the buck should be taken in this context, the PM added.About PPP opposition leader Raja Riaz’s swipe at the Punjab CM over the issue of missing Shahbaz Taseer, PM Gilani said the PPP as a party is very emotional on the issue as it lost Salman Taseer and now his son has been kidnapped. His (Raja’s) remarks could be seen in that context, said the PM.
