Summary PM Gilani on Sunday said terrorists defeated in tribal areas are coward enough to hit soft targets.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore, the PM said that the terrorists have been defeated in the tribal areas, that’s why they are hitting soft targets. PM Gilani said: “They (defeated terrorists) are targeting soft targets – they’re targeting girls’ schools, moving into urban centres and attacking shopping places, GHQ they targeted and the Naval base in Karachi”.When asked what the government intends to do to resolve the matter of two Eids in the country, the PM simply shrugged off, saying “this is a non-issue”.Asked if Pakistan had become a strong state to shun the US dictation, the PM said in a lighter tone “we won’t say it in front of you (journalists) as you know everything”. However, he said, it is a misperception that Pakistan takes dictation. “We want relations with the US on the basis of mutual respect,” he said.
