Summary Chief Minister Sindh and Interior Minister Wednesday co-chaired a meeting at Chief Ministers House.
They reviewed the law and order situation prevailing in Sindh province particularly in Karachi.The Chief Minister Sindh said that Karachi is important city and economic hub of the country, while the people of the country want peaceful atmosphere of Karachi.He said that it is prime duty of Police and Rangers to evolve prompt strategy so as to crush the criminals and anti-social elements with iron hand.Syed Qaim Ali Shah further said that the Federal Government has fully supported the prompt action against criminals and terrorists and he has been given free hand to handle the situation with strict manners.He said that President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani have fully endorsed the Sindh Government for action against criminals and as such joint efforts of Federal & Provincial Government coordinative measures and collective strategy will certainly bring effective and good results of achieving the goal of maintenance of law and order so as to fully restore the peace in Karachi.The meeting reviewed overall law and order situation of Karachi and decided to continue the action against criminals, while the people will be apprised of results and achievements daily. It was decided in the meeting that action will be taken against criminal without any consideration or political affiliation and names of those people who will give information about terrorists, criminals and extortionists will be kept secret.The meeting was attended by Sindh information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas, IG Police Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani, Acting DG Rangers Sindh Brig Zafar Iqbal, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Wasim Ahmed, Additional IG Police Karachi Saud Mirza, Secretary to CM Sindh Alamuddin Bullo, DIGs of Police of Karachi and others.
