Summary New spell of Monsoon has begun in upper parts of the country.
Lahore received a spell of heavy rain. Roads in many areas depicted ponds, exposing authorities’ tall claims.Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that weather on Eid day would remain dry and pleasant throughout the country. PMD sources said that new monsoon spell can spread in different areas while heavy rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala Division, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Hazara and Peshawer during this period.Meanwhile, heat wave is expected to prevail for the next 2 days in most parts of the country. However rain with thunderstorm is forecast for Lahore and Gujranwala. Maximum temperature recorded on Monday was, Islamabad=35 C, Lahore=38 C, Quetta=36 C, Karachi=34 C, Peshawar=37 C, Muzaffarabad=37 C, Gilgit=39 C, Multan=39 C, Murree=24 C, Faisalabad=37 C. Maximum temperature was recorded in Dalbandin=44 C.
