Summary Interior minister Rehman Malik has said there is no no-go area in Karachi.
Talking to the media after his meeting with acting DG Rangers Brig Zafar at National Crisis Management Cell on Monday, Rehman Malik however insisted that it is essential to deweaponise the city.He said the government was taking stern action against those found involved in destabilising Karachi. Anti-government campaign has been unleashed under a conspiracy, he alleged.“Propaganda campaign has been launched against me and provincial home minister Manzoor Wassan. People should however not become part of any propaganda,” he said.He said that protecting life and property of citizens was the responsibility of the government. Restoration of peace is top priority of government, he added.
