Summary Police have booked 21 accused in four cases for attacking police bus in Karachi.

At least 15 more people were killed in different firing and torture incidents in different areas of the city.The case regarding attack on police bus remained a mystery owing to differences between the police high ups. Some media outlets aired the names of the accused and case number as a breaking news but all this was proved to be wrong.Police registered four cases over the attack. The main case is 434/11 and two accused Ataif alias Asif and Hakim have been nabbed. The case has also been registered against 15 unknown assailants. It has been described in the FIR that miscreants opened fire on police vehicles as they stopped.Three policemen were killed while 28 others sustained injuries. On retaliation by police one miscreant Shahid was killed while Saleem and Furqan fled with injuries. Police recovered 16 bikes, one Kalashnikov, one repeater and one TT pistol from the scene of the crime. Three cases namely 435/11, 436/11 and 437/11 were registered against the possession of illegal weapons. The description of the case also falsifies the details provided by IG Sindh Wajid Durrani.The killing, meanwhile, continued in the city as two corpses from Orangi Town one each from Pak Colony, Maripur and Korangi were found. Two children were also killed in Mehmoodabad in a firing incident.In Chorangi, University Road, Purana Golimar and Korangi four people were killed.
