District Coordination Officer Kasur Syed Irshad Hussain Shah said that the district administration did not have any previous information of the current surge of water level because the Indian authorities had not issued any warning.He said that he was trying to contact the Indian authorities to get the latest understanding of the situation.The DCO said that the district administration was on red alert to deal any situation and warnings were being issued in villages about the possible flood.The rescue teams are standby and relief camps are also ready, the DCO said, adding that the situation would be cleared by 2pm today.Meanwhile, panic has struck the people living at the banks of the river.
