Summary Met dept forecasts rain, dust-thunderstorm from Thursday
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET) has predicted rain, dust-thunderstorm in different parts of the country from Thursday evening.
Met Office informed that a westerly wave is likely to enter upper parts of the country on 19th May, Thursday (night) and is likely to persist till 24th May (Tuesday).
Due to which rain-dust-thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Kurram, Kohat, Waziristan, Bannu, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum , Hafizabad, M. B Din, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang, T.T Singh, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan (Astore, Ghizer, Gilgit, Diamir, Hunza and Skardu) particularly during afternoon and evening /nights.
According to weather forecasters, water reservoirs, crops, vegetables and orchards will remain at risk of dehydration while strong winds could also damage structures in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
