Russia-Ukraine Conflict: EU requests PM to play mediation role

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Amidst the Russia and Ukraine conflict, European Union (EU) on Monday has requested that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan should play a mediation role in the conflict.

According to the sources of PM house, PM Imran Khan had talked to president EU. It is pertinent to mention here that the two leaders discussed the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. 

In a tweet on Monday, PM mentioned that he had a discussion with the President of the European Council on the situation in Ukraine.

Expressing his concerns over the ongoing military conflict with the President of the European Union, he highlighted the negative economic effects of the Ukraine problem on developing countries.

He further stated in his tweet that he called for an immediate ceasefire and a reduction in tensions. The premier stated that he emphasized the need to resolve the issue through dialogue and diplomacy and to provide humanitarian relief.
