Summary A decline in electricity loadshedding has been recorded after the electricity shortfall shrunk.
Electricity shortfall dropped to 2,822 megawatt after a decrease in electricity demand in the country.According to Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), power generation in the country is 14,732 while the demand is 17,554 megawatt.The water resources are generating 5,910 megawatt, thermal 2,085, independent power producers 6,596 and rental power plants are generating 141 megawatt of electricity in the country.The Karachi electric supply corporation is being supplied 650 megawatt.After the decrease in electricity shortfall, the loadshedding is reduced to six hours in urban areas and eight hours in rural areas.Complain for unscheduled loadshedding have also been minimised after the drop in the electricity shortfall.
