Summary Creation of a new province required constitutional amendment and many other formalities.
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the Pakistan People’s Party wanted to dismantle the country to hide its corruption.Talking to the media in Lahore, Rana Sanaullah said that Senator Babar Awan’s mischievousness, Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan’s irrational statements and Raja Riaz’ senseless proposals were not sufficient for creation of a new province.Creation of a new province required constitutional amendment and many other formalities, the provincial minister said.He said that for creating a new province parliament would have to approve a resolution, adding that a commission should also be formed to make a frame work for the process as it was a serious matter.To a question, he said that the PML-Q was PPP’s ally in its corruption so it had supported the mindless demand for new province.
