Summary WAPDA has cut electric supply of Jhelum Railway Station and Railway Colony due to nonpayment.
As per details, the Railway management did not pay dues despite receiving bill after which the WAPDA management disconnected electric supply to Jhelum Railway Station and Railway Colony.The families of Railway employees, residing in the quarters, and office staff had to face problems due to power shutdown.The Railway employees made electricity arrangements at the Railway Station on self-help basis.It is worth mentioning here that a certain amount is being deducted from the employees’ salaries to pay the electricity bill.
