Senate concerned over Motorway toll plazas contracts without tender

The Senate Standing Committee for Communication held an in-camera meeting led by Senator Mir Wali Muhammad.According to sources, officials from the Finance Ministry briefed the committee that the NHA had been given Rs 2.3 billion. The committee has also issued an order to computerise all the toll plazas.ANP Senator Zahid Khan protested against absence of any uplift project for KPK in PSDP and said that the KPK was the most floods-devastated province but it was apathy of the government that it was being ignored. After this, he walked out of the meeting in protest.
