Summary Chief Justice LHC summons Advocate General Punjab regarding a case registered on CMs order.
During the hearing of the case the Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry was informed by the complainant Azam Saeed’s attorney that the defendant refused to leave the park located in front of CM House in Murree before the expiry of the contract.Various cases against him were registered in different police stations, the court was informed. MD TDCP who was present in the court admitted the cases against the complainant were registered on the orders of Punjab CM. The chief justice showed his annoyance on this answer, saying that would he do whatever CM has said for saving his job.Chief Justice said there was rule of law in the country and such high handedness would not be tolerated. The court further said the MD TDCP has gone beyond his legal limits and he would be punished for it.The court has summoned IG Punjab and Advocate General Punjab in the court on August 10.
