Summary The PMD has predicted a new rain spell for, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and upper areas of the country.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department says that the rain spell will continue until the third week of August.Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal and Bannu received rain with thunder during the last 24 hours. However, the weather remained hot and dry in southern Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a new monsoon wind system will enter the country and could be followed by heavy down pour in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Sindh and parts of Balochistan.Rains with thunder are likely in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Malakand, Kohat, Peshawar and Bannu during the next 24 hours.During the last 24 hours, maximum temperature, 46 Celsius, was recorded in Dilbandin while 37 in Islamabad, 35 in Lahore, 39 in Quetta, 37 in Muzaffarabad, 39 in Multan, 34 in Karachi, 37 in Peshawar and Gilgit, 36 in Faisalabad while 23 degree Celsius was recorded in Murree.
