Summary The ECP has asked all political parties to submit their accounts statements till Aug 29.
According to a press release issued the Election Commission of Pakistan asked the political parties to submit statements of their accounts till August 29. Under the Article 13 of the political parties Order 2002, every political party shall submit its detail of accounts to the ECP within 60 days from the close of each financial year.According to Article-14 of the political party Order 2002, a party which fails to submit its statement of accounts under Article-13 will not be eligible to obtain election symbol for contesting elections for Majils-e-Shoora (Parliament) and provincial Assembly.
