Summary Chief Justice took notice over not issuing notification for sacking of PCO judges despite order.
CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has asked Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq and Secretary Law Masood Chishti to appear in the court on August 5. The Supreme Court had declared the PCO judges terminated in a verdict in the light of the 18th Amendment and directed the government to issue a regular notification in this regard. However, the order could not be implemented till now, prompting the CJ to conduct hearing of the case while taking notice of the issue. A larger bench of the SC would hear the case now.
