Summary About 137 houses were ravaged in flood caused by a glacier in suburb of district Ging, Baltistan.
Three villages were swept away in the flood in the area of Upper Talis situated 200 kilometers from Sakardo. A man also went missing in this catastrophe.According to eyewitness, the glacier erupted after heavy downpour early in the morning.The Talis Nullah became out of control due to glacier and turned into a stream within no time.Flooding caused immense damages to the life and property. It ravaged everything coming in its way. Crop worth million of rupees, 137 houses, seven shops, a school and a mosque were also destroyed.Panic gripped the area and all the activities of daily life were affected while communication system badly damaged.The affected families were shifted to tents at secured points.
