Summary Government has decided to cut down the surface of water in Attabad Lake in Hunza valley.
A special meeting was held in President House in which issues of lessening surface of the Attabad Lake and construction work of the Karakoram road were reviewed.PM Yousaf Raza Gilani also attended the meeting.Director General FWO Major Gen Najeebullah Khan briefed the meeting and said that the digging work of the Attabad Lake had been completed while all the sources would be utilised to lessen surface of water in the lake.The meeting was also informed that an accord had been signed between the National Highway Authority and the China Reconstruction Bridges Corporation for the construction of 13 km of Karakoram road.
