Citizens had to face tremendous problems due to this.According to sources in PEPCO, the production of electric power is 14,754 MW while its consumption is 18,304 MW. In this way, the shortfall has gone to 3,550 MW. The government could not implement the announcement not to have load shedding in Ramazan.Dozens of angry citizens attacked the LESCO office in Samanabad and threw stones on office and broke its windows.On the other hand, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) started load shedding on Sehri and Aftari timings. The citizens are of the view that the FESCO should avoid unannounced load shedding in the holy month of Ramazan.Likewise, all the big and small cities in South Punjab are in the grip of load shedding for eight to ten hours while the same is the case with the rural areas.Gujranwala and Peshawar are also among affected areas.
