Summary PEPCO director general had claimed that there would be no loadshedding during sehar and iftar.
The people across the country are observing first fast of Ramadan but they had to face a great botheration due to the absence of electricity at sehar.Four days ago, Pakistan Electric Power Supply Company (PEPCO) Director General (DG) Ejaz Rafiq Qureshi had claimed that there would be no unscheduled loadshedding during the month of Ramadan, sehar and iftar timings would be exempted from power outage.Reducing loadshedding during the month of fasting is PEPCO’s first priority and that there would be no loadshedding during sehar and iftar, the DG said, adding that the operational directors of all distribution companies have been directed to chalk out efficient plans in order to minimise power outages during Ramadan. But all those claims proved misleading as most of the people in the country eat their sehar meal in darkness.Women faced great trouble while preparing sehari in the darkness while it made difficult for men to reach mosques for Fajir prayer.
