Summary Opposition walked out of the National Assembly against deteriorating Karachi situation.

PML-N and MQM members walked out of the Assembly while JUI members followed them later.MQM’s Waseem Akhtar warned if the law and order situation continued in Karachi unchecked, the people would be forced to take harsh decisions. The NA met under the chair of deputy speaker faisal Kareem Kundi. MQM’s Waseem Akhtar sought to file a motion to discuss Karachi situation, but the PPP MNAs surrounding the prime minister in the house kept him from completing his debate. Then MQM members walked out in protest. PML-N filed an adjournment motion to discuss law and order, particularly Karachi situation. The motion was accepted but the deputy speaker announced that debate would be held the next day. The PML-N staged a walkout in protest. The JUI members also walked out later.
