According to PEPCO, power demand stood at 17,486, while the country is producing 14,290MW. About 720MW is being provided to KESC. Hydel power production has reached 5,453MW, Thermal 2,034MW, IPPs, 6,597 and 206WM from rental power plants.Due to pleasant weather, power shortfall has decreased but load shedding duration has not been reduced. Now 6-8 hours unscheduled load shedding is being observed in urban areas and 8-10 hours in rural areas.Protests continued in different cities of the country against hour-long unscheduled load shedding.
