Summary SC Chief Justice says all decisions by courts should be without fear or favour.
Addressing a session of the National Judicial Policymaking Committee, the chief justice said the National Judicial Policy has been formed after consulting all stakeholders.One purpose of the judicial policy is to enable courts to dispense justice free of fear or favour, he said, adding that the judicial policy seeks to protect the independence of the judiciary.He said from a civil judge to a judge of the Supreme Court, all should uphold the sanctity of the judiciary and dispense justice without other considerations. He said now courts have been ordered to dispose of cases at the earliest. He said timeframes to dispose of cases has also been set at certain levels.
