Summary Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that PML-N leadership should not forget its exile.
Talking to the media in London after attending a ceremony, the minister said that the PML-N leadership was violating the charter of democracy.He said that it was the fundamental clause of the charter of democracy that no party shall plot against a democratically elected government.The minister said that PML-N leadership should not forget its exile days before talking against the democratic government.He said that objectionable statements were issued against President Asif Ali Zardari during the PML-N convention in Islamabad.Earlier, Rehman Malik arrived in London on Wednesday on a tightly scheduled private visit and declared that he will not do any political activities during his short stay.Malik went London to attend the graduation ceremony of his eldest son Ali Rehman Malik who had completed his bar from the prestigious Gray’s Inn.Rehman Malik said his barrister son, who did his business finance degree from the Westminster University, will soon return to Pakistan where he will start his practice. Rehman Malik has always held meetings with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) during his visits to London.His absence raised questions when he didn’t accompany President Asif Ali Zardari during his recent 11-day-long visit to London when tension between the Pakistan People’s Party and the MQM heightened after the MQM pulled out its governor from the Sindh government and applied to sit on the opposition benches.
