Summary One yearlapsed but flood-hit areas in KP are waiting for renovation and reconstruction activities.
The affectees had to face tremendous loss of more than Rs 100 billion but the government was yet inactive.It was on the most dangerous floods of history which changed the geography of KP like other provinces of the country. Nowshra, Sawat, Shangla, Char Sadda, Tank, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Kohistan and the surroundings of Peshawar were badly hit by the floods.According official statistics, the KP had to face the loss of more than Rs 100 billion. More than 3.8 million people were badly affected by floods out of which one thousands died while 1100 were injured.About 581 villages destroyed in which round about one million people became homeless while more than 4.3 million were badly affected.The government had announced to give Rs 0.4 million to the people who had lost everything in flood while 1,60,000 to the people who were party hurt but government is tangled with preliminary stage of delivering Rs 20,000 per family.
