Addressing a press conference at Lahore airport, the foreign minister said the principled stand on Kashmir is unchanged, as she and her entourage had a detailed discussion on all outstanding issues with Indian leadership, including Kashmir. She reiterated talks were in Pakistan’s interest.The foreign minister said she also had meetings with Kashmiri leadership, and these meetings were disliked by many in New Delhi. She however stressed that no country or region could progress without peace. Indian leadership also showed willingness to have meaningful dialogue. She said talks are in favour of Pakistan. She said the trail of Mumbai bombing accused should be expedited and discussions have been going on for long time now. She said dialogues biggest achievement was reduction in trust deficit.Earlier in India, the foreign minister visited a revered shrine where she reportedly prayed to further improve ties.The 34-year-old Hina Rabbani Khar, Pakistans first female and youngest top diplomat, spent 25 minutes at the mosque in the town of Ajmer in Indias Rajasthan state.I prayed for peace and harmony between India and Pakistan, local media reported Khar as saying after leaving the shrine in Ajmer, some 230 kilometres (140 miles) from Jodhpur, also in Rajasthan.I came to try and strengthen relations between India and Pakistan and there is a need for more efforts to reinforce these ties, Khar said, a day after she held peace talks in New Delhi.Khar and her Indian counterpart S.M. Krishna on Wednesday insisted that vexed relations between the countries were back on track that underlined a new era of cooperation.
