Summary Rift between KESC management, workers ended after an agreement was signed at the Governors House.

The KESC management and employees have signed an agreement according to which, forcefully sacked employees would be paid their dues before Ramazan.Talking to media after the meeting at the Governor’s House, which continued the whole night, Commissioner Karachi Muhammad Hussain said that the Sindh Governor heard stances of both sides after which an agreement was signed between the management and the employees.He said that a committee has been formed to resolve the issue. According to the agreement, the KESC employees would not stage any protest and sit-in future.All offices of KESC, including, its installations and consumer services would resume routine work. The commissioner said that KESC management and the workers’ union would maintain peace in the organization.According to the agreement, KESC administration would implement the verdict of Sindh High Court. Posts of sacked employees have been dissolved; however, employees who will be coming to work will mark their attendance and will not be sacked forcefully.The Commissioner concluded that the issue of loadshedding would be resolved soon.
