Summary Punjab government has formed a committee to probe into wrong injection to women at a hospital.
About 16 women have been affected by ‘Calamox’ injection’s reaction. The injection is used after maternity. All the affected women have been shifted to Intensive care unit.The families of the victims protested and submitted an application for registration of a case against the negligent doctors.According to Lahore Lady Aitchison Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Shugufta Zaidi, the injection was not expired, however all the stock would be re-checked.The Punjab government has formed a five-member committee under the supervision of Prof Samia malik to probe into the matter. The committee will present its report in five days.
