Summary PML-N has announced date for party elections and set up election commission of the party.

PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif said the Central Working Committee’s meeting to elect the president of the party and its central office-bearers will be held on July 27. The election committee comprises Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, M Hamza, Mamnoon Hussain, Changez Khan Murree, Shah Ghulam Qadir, Pir Sabir Shah and Haji Akbar.The meeting would be attended by Nawaz, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and top leaderships of the party besides 2500 members and observers from across the country, said the party. Earlier reports suggested that Hamza Shahbaz Sharif would be made provincial general secretary. Nawaz has been reported to have told PML-N leaders that it was time for Hamza to start a bigger role. Cap (r) Safdar, son-in-law of Nawaz, has recently been made chief organiser of the party’s youth wing. Sirdar Zulfiqar Khan Khosa is tipped to be made provincial president of the N-League.Nawaz Sharif the other day nominated Iftikhar Ahmad Khan and Dildar Khan as Swabi president and general secretary of the party respectively at a meeting attended by divisional members of the organising committees, tehsils and union council-level leaders as well as heads of the six provincial constituencies in Swabi. Liaqat Ahmad Khan, a PML-N leader and former president of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industries, also attended the meeting.
